This portfolio is the culminating experience of my graduate studies from Michigan State University.  My goal is to highlight my learning and work in Michigan State University's Master of Arts in Education 

I graduated from Michigan State University with a Bachelor in Arts with a History major and a minor in English . I spent the following year student teaching at a middle school in Mason, MI and attending courses at MSU to obtain a teaching certificate.  From there, I spent a year teaching and coaching in Anchorage, Alaska. I followed this experience with seven years working at an Alternative Education high school in Alpena, MI.   

I started to pursue a Master of Arts in Education in the fall of 2008.  The portfolio serves as a marker of what I have learned in the field of education as well as an opportunity to explore new avenues in education.
